World New Energy Vehicle Congress (WNEVC) at IAA MOBILITY 2023

WNEVC for the first time outside China - Goal: Jointly promote climate-neutral mobility

China's largest electric mobility trade show, the World New Energy Vehicle Congress (WNEVC), will be held outside China for the first time in 2023. The WNEVC will be held as part of IAA MOBILITY 2023 in Munich, Germany, on September 6, 2023. The WNEVC has established itself in China as a prestigious and internationally recognized annual conference in the field of electric mobility and has already held four successful editions.

"The World New Energy Vehicle Congress (WNEVC) has established itself as a renowned and internationally recognized annual conference in the field of electric mobility and is one of the most successful global platforms in this sector. The collaboration sends an important signal for German-Chinese cooperation with the aim of advancing climate-neutral mobility and strengthens the international orientation of IAA MOBILITY," says Jürgen Mindel, Managing Director of the VDA.

Establishing sustainable mobility solutions together

WNEVC promotes technological progress, innovation and the development of electric vehicles. Its aim is to strengthen global cooperation and communication in this field and to promote the development of sustainable mobility solutions. This year, the theme of the conference (WNEVC) is "Green Mobility, Win-Win Cooperation". 

More than 2,000 participants from all over the world are expected to attend the conference. The WNEVC will be part of the IAA Summit and the IAA Conference at Munich Exhibition Center.

Leading Chinese automakers and battery manufacturers such as BYD, CATL and Farasis Energy have already signed up to participate in IAA MOBILITY 2023.
