At the Citizens Lab, many participatory formats and workshops will take place, inviting you to actively participate and shape the event. The Citizens Lab is a place of fair, respectful debating culture, and the stage guests will always discuss with the audience at eye level.
Innovation and mobility should be experienced by all age groups.
In addition to the stage and the workshop space, the Citizens Lab hosts an exhibition space and smaller lounges. Our exhibitors will present current scientific findings and mobility projects and show how these projects can help shape the future of our cities.
FAQ
The Citizens Lab is a free dialogue platform and is a part of IAA MOBILITY 2023. It consists of the Dialogue Arena (the stage in the Citizens Lab), a workshop area, exhibition areas, and common spaces.
The goal is to bring people together at Marienplatz in Munich and facilitate an open, solution-oriented dialogue on the most important issues concerning “mobility of the future”. The Citizens Lab provides a platform for the wide range of innovations, products, and discussions pertaining to the question of how climate-friendly mobility between the city and the country can be facilitated.
The Citizens Lab is not an expert event. The open-format dialogues and audience inclusion cover technological and social matters equally.
The general public speaks with representatives from business, science, policy, and civil society on the future of mobility in entertaining discussions. Every mode of transportation has an impact on climate protection and climate resilience, urban development, social integration, energy acquisition, and resource conservation. The Citizens Lab is a place where all stakeholders are invited to discuss these issues peacefully, on equal footing, and with an interest in what others have to say. All topics and questions are based solely on current scientific knowledge.
