For the first time at the IAA MOBILITY 2023, the IAA MOBILITY METAVERSE connects all hot spots of the open air event area "OPEN SPACE" with each other in the gamified and innovative digital experience "GUIDED XR TOUR" and can be experienced by everyone!
The tour concludes with the MIXED REALITY AREA, which offers exclusive experiences in virtual worlds using virtual reality and mixed reality technologies at the well-known and well-visited Königsplatz.

The IAA MOBILITY METAVERSE offers manufacturers, suppliers, tech companies, service providers and startups a variety of opportunities to innovatively present themselves and their services to a broad international audience in the OPEN SPACE, which is open to the public. Visitors to the OPEN SPACE pay no admission fee and can take advantage of all the exhibitors' mobility experiences.
The GUIDED XR TOUR, like the successful mobile game Pokémon GO, is a mix of gamification tools and tour guide that transforms IAA MOBILITY 2023 and its attractions and exhibitor spaces into an immersive experience. The tour combines interactive elements with augmented reality and hyperlocal solutions.
The GUIDED XR TOUR is a mobile webapp that is browser-based and can be opened on any smartphone. The main benefit is improved navigation for visitors, but the application also creates more interaction opportunities and accessibility, thus improving data collection through the unique GUIDED XR TOUR webapp.
The MIXED REALITY AREA at Königsplatz represents the grand finale of the GUIDED XR TOUR. It lets visitors immerse themselves in the various virtual worlds of exhibitors and partners with the help of VR-glasses and experience them "phygitally" in the IAA MOBILITY METAVERSE.
Independent and individual exploration creates a unique experience for visitors. It is in the exploration of this Extended Reality Gallery that the uniqueness of Connected Mobility can truly be experienced.
In the MIXED REALITY AREA, the IAA MOBILITY METAVERSE presents itself - and with it all its partners who want to bring the special XR experience to the mobility festival with hundreds of thousands of visitors.
