IAA MOBILITY: Motorworld celebrates Mobility Days

When the most important mobility event of the year, the IAA MOBILITY, takes place in Munich from September 5 to 10, 2023, the Bavarian capital will also be venue for numerous partner events of IAA MOBILITY.

One of these events will take place at Motorworld Munich from September 3 to 6: The Motorworld Mobility Days. The automotive world of experience in Munich-Freimann is staging mobile passion with various brands for IAA MOBILITY. Visitors can experience mobility with all their senses in an extensive program of test drives, off-road courses and panel discussions. The backdrop for the event is Motorworld Munich, where more than 30 of the world's most exclusive vehicle brands are on display throughout the year.

Today, Motorworld Munich is the largest showroom of Motorworld Group, which now has ten locations in Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Mallorca. In its entirety, Motorworld is also considered the world's largest brand-independent classic and sports car center.

The company was founded by entrepreneur Andreas Dünkel. During a tour of Motorworld Munich, his daughter and Future Business Leader Sarah Dünkel tells us that he revived old, mostly listed industrial buildings for this purpose and located dealerships with exclusive vehicle brands as well as other offers around the topic of mobility. All locations are open to the public all year.

The 23-year-old trained event manager began her training at Motorworld in Böblingen in 2016 and has been working in Munich since April 2021, where she is now responsible for all types of events - from corporate events to trade fairs.

On the tour, she shows us the listed locomotive hall from 1916 - the heart of Motorworld on the 75,000 square meter site of the former railway repair works in Munich-Freimann. With a length of 185 meters, a width of 90 meters and a height of up to 18 meters, it is one of the largest self-supporting historic steel halls in Europe. A highlight of the hall are the 111 glass boxes arranged on four levels.

They are used to store classic cars, collectors' items and exclusive sports cars - from the VW Beetle to Michael Schumacher's Ford-Benetton F1 racing car. "There are always exciting cars for visitors to discover, and the owners have an exceptional and secure garage with the glass boxes," says Dünkel. "They have round-the-clock access, so they can take their car in and out at any time."

Motorworld Munich is not only a world of experience and a trade center, but also a place to meet: with more than 25 event and conference rooms, it is one of the largest event locations in the Bavarian capital, including entertainment such as flight and racing simulators or even a Carrera track. In addition, there are several restaurants and cafés, as well as a hotel, the Ameron Motorworld Munich. "Here you can find everything that makes a mobility enthusiast's heart beat faster, even overnight," says Dünkel. "For example, the hotel offers special Car & Bike Studios, where hotel

guests can park their car or motorcycle right in their own room and always have it in view through a large glass window."

Motorworld has been collaborating with IAA since 2019 and this year, as an official partner of IAA MOBILITY, it invites visitors to Motorworld Mobility Days before and during the event from 03 to 06 September. "This year we have decided to open our doors directly at Motorworld Munich. In line with the aim of the IAA MOBILITY to make mobility in all its facets and forms a tangible experience, we are presenting the entire spectrum of mobility at the Mobility Days. Hypercars and supercars, e-mobility, classic cars, youngtimers, off-road vehicles and motorcycles, as well as accessories and art will be on display. Our show stage will welcome industry celebrities, racers and racing legends. Everything kicks off on September 3 with a motor meeting to which we invite all friends of mobility," says Dünkel.
