Arrival

Public transportation is not included in the ticket price. You will need to purchase a separate ticket for your journey using public transit.

IAA Summit
Visitors traveling to the exhibition center by train will arrive at Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). From there, the U2 subway line departs every 5 minutes and reaches the exhibition center (Messestadt West station) in about 20 minutes.

IAA Open Space
Visitors arriving by train at Munich Central Station can reach the various IAA Open Space locations in the city center quickly and conveniently within 10 minutes using public transportation. Alternatively, the locations—including Königsplatz, Wittelsbacher Platz, Odeonsplatz & Ludwigstraße, Max-Joseph-Platz, Marienplatz, Residenzhöfe, and Hofgartenstraße—are all within a 15–20-minute walk from the central station.

IAA Summit (at the Trade Fair Grounds)
The IAA Summit at the trade fair grounds is accessible via the A94 highway. Signage will guide you to the appropriate parking areas even before you reach the München-Riem exit.

Traffic at the trade fair grounds is managed by a dynamic guidance system, directing you to the West Parking Garage. During the event, access to the parking garage may be limited.

The West Parking Garage is available starting two hours before the IAA Summit opens and closes two hours after the event ends.

Charge your vehicle easily and conveniently: The e-charging concept at Messe München includes 80 fixed charging stations in the West Parking Garage, as well as a Supercharger (fast-charging station) in front of the ICM.

Overnight stays on the trade fair grounds are generally not permitted. You can find possible RV parking spots here.

IAA Open Space (Munich City Center)
The IAA Open Space in downtown Munich is accessible via the following seven highways, which are connected by a ring road: A8, A99, A9, A92, A96, A94, A95, and A995.

However, driving into the city center is not recommended as no parking spaces are available. Please use the Park-and-Ride facilities throughout the MVV transit area, such as the Fröttmaning / Allianz Arena parking lot, the P+R underground garage at Heimeranplatz, or public parking areas like the Parkharfe Olympiapark and other parking garages. You can find a map of Park-and-Ride locations here.
