Visa Service for Participants
For citizens of all countries requiring a visa to enter Germany, we offer a dedicated visa service. You can find all the details here.
Citizens of EU countries generally do not need a visa to enter Germany. However, many other nationalities are required to obtain a visa for entry.
Important Information: To ensure you receive your visa in time for the trade fair, we strongly recommend applying as early as possible.
Visa Service
A current list of countries requiring a visa, as well as visa-exempt countries, is provided by the German Federal Foreign Office. You can find specific visa regulations for entering Germany on the websites of German diplomatic missions abroad.
Invitation Letter from the Trade Fair Organizer
The German Federal Foreign Office issued a directive via email in July 2013 informing visa offices at German embassies and consulates worldwide that an invitation letter from the trade fair organizer is generally no longer required when applying for a trade fair visa. Additionally, exhibitors at trade fairs are exempt from visa fees.
